Friday and Saturday

Friday and Saturday were the highlights. Friday was very lazy until the evening. Eric and I went to a live session at the Salt Lake Temple which has been a dream of mine for a long time! What a neat experience. Very different. We wanted to go to the Four Piano's concert at the Assembly Hall on Temple Square but because we didn't have time to eat and were completely starved we opted to catch a cab and go to the Meet and Greet at the Grand America Hotel for the Maakoa Convention opening night. Boy were we glad we went! It was spectacular! The food was amazing. They told us appetizers and it was much, much more! It made me that much more anxious for the next day... the official launch!

We were able to stay with Ryan in the Grand America Friday night and it was exquisite! Saturday morning began the launch of Maakoa. This is a new MLM company that we are involved with that we have been extremely impressed with. They had motivational speakers, we heard from Corporate, and all the Master Distributors including our very own, Ryan. He did a great job! Brian Russell from the Utah Jazz came and talked up the product and the relationship between Maakoa and the Utah Flash. They made some exciting announcements including new sponsorships, vacations, and upcoming products. The Maakoa store had some really great items for sale which we took advantage of. They provided us with break out sessions to learn a bit more about the software, the product and to hear from those involved in the corporate office. The evening was unbelievable! We had Filet Mignon and Lobster for dinner, and enjoyed entertainment from Jason Hewlett and Cirque du Soleil. It was so nice!

Thursday

Thursday I was really wanting to travel to Moab but Ryan ended up letting us use his and Andrea's car to travel up to Bridal Veil Falls, Provo Canyon and Sundance for a quick visit. It was peaceful and very refreshing to be with my sweetheart alone. We desperately needed it. Then we had plans with Andrea and met her to get our nails done, dinner at Caraba's, Coldstone for dessert and out to see Suragates the movie. This was more like my event-packed day!

Using the Potty!!

Ok, so I knew one one would believe me with out pic's, so, here they are!!! Mia is loving the toilet, trying it, using pull-ups, throwing them away, climbing up to the toilet, (sometimes going,) wiping, climbing down, flushing, and washing her hands, all with little help! This child is something else.

Conference/Temple Square

We landed safely early Saturday morning after leaving our little boys and sick little Mia with my wonderful mom, a little jet lagged and extremely tired, only to wait in the airport another 1 1/2 hours for our ride... it gave us time to re-connect... right? Anyways, we didn't do much the first day but eat, sleep and eat again. Sunday and Monday were amazing!

We were lucky enough to get tickets for the Sunday morning session of conference and it was so spiritually uplifting! The choir sang "Come Thou Fount" which is my favorite hymn and when President Monson walked in, I've heard it is a neat experience, but words can not come close to describing the feeling, the spirit and the overwhelming love you have for this man. Amazing.

Monday we went to Temple Square, walked around the Vistors Center, watched the Joseph Smith movie, saw the Plan of Salvation movie, shopped the Distribution Center, ate at the Garden Room atop the Joseph Smith Building and shopped some more at Seagull Book. It was a good day. Another spiritually exhausting day, but very fulfilling.

Bows, bows, bows...

A couple friends of mine got together a few weeks ago and taught me how to make bows and headbands for my Mia... and it turns out me too! I am so excited and am trying to master these suckers! Here are a few pic's of what I've done so far! Love 'em!!
