Knowledge

I need to vent: I have been thinking... and way too early I might add for the first day of Thanksgiving break... why am I not sleeping????? Knowledge is a Catch 22.... did you ever realize that? It's like if you don't learn or read, you never know what your missing. What you don't know doesn't hurt you. But, if you get an itch to learn, like I am right now about nutrition and your bodies... a gift for us to learn to use and treat well, and gain knowledge... you take in everything you can get, and before long, man, you never realized how much there is out there to draw your information from, and then, just how much information there actually is out there! Then, in inferiority begins to set in. You then, begin to realize who is in control here. Not you. But, if you want to learn, you know who can guide you, help you to realize what's the good stuff and what's the bad stuff... sifting through. But, then once you gain all this knowledge and it's committed to memory, is it ok for it to just stay there? Why not??!! I just wanted to know... I didn't mean to actually want to do it! Now what? I know what is better and what is really bad, because I wanted to know in the beginning. I am making little changes with my self, but all the good and bad stuff I now know is stuck in my brain and I feel like I have to hold myself to the higher law. Once I know more, I feel I must do. Otherwise, I am feeling very guilty, and extremely overwhelmed by all that is out there for good! How is it possible to do all this?

Other Costumes

These are the original costume choices for 2009. Obviously Elijah chose to be Harry Potter at first but hated the idea that he had to wear "church clothes" as part of his costume. Lucas was a Ninga thanks to a donation from a good friend, Mia was the little leopard and Meowed the part the entire night... and that's Mommy as the scary witch... yes, I can finally act myself one night of the year.

Halloween 2009

This Halloween was truly memorable... cold, but memorable nonetheless. Grandpa Jeff, Grandma Lisa and Aunt Ciarra came for their annual Fall visit and we carved our pumpkins first that day with them. Then, we took them to Baynes to get doughnuts and cider with the kids already dressed in costume.

After the fam left, we headed over to the cousins house in Bay City for the hayride through the sub to trick-or-treat! What a blast!

We had a Darth Vader that came in to his own that night with some bigger boys and thought that because he was dressed in black and had a mask, that Mommy no longer existed, he was totally invinsible and could move on up with the 10 year-olds, taking off and going wherever he pleased. Then, we had a Kitty-girl on the loose that after the 5th or 6th house mastered the phrase, "Trick-or-Treat", because she realized, once she did, not only was she collecting her own little back up supply of her fav food group... chocolate... but, boy, was the attention nice! (She isn't like her mother in any way!) Lastly, (no pun intended,) there was our little lost pirate... nothing phases that boy... NOT EVEN TREATS!!! He will seriously go at his own slow, Lukey-la-la-land pace, no matter what. Even if the boys pants were on fire, he would just soak it all in before realizing he will be ashes soon. Help me someone... I worry way too much about it! He complained most of the time about what to do, where to go and wanting to go back... too cold. He looked so cute though! It was fun... thanks cousins!!

Fall Hockey

Lucas and Elijah are now playing for Bay County due to the low fee, which is nice because this will keep them close and involved with their super fun cousins in Bay City! They are so proud to play! Elijah is our skating runner. We are trying to get him to stride out a bit more when he skates. He seriously looks like a fairy on skates... in a good way... Lucas is our one-legged-skater. He uses his stick to support his right leg skating... it is so funny. Fall season is ending and I'm hoping to see a bit more progress with the consistent practices of the winter season... tune in for more... maybe after Christmas I'll have some video clips... I saw Mommy kissing Santa Clause... Santa, Baby...
