Halloween

Our church combines with the other ward here in Midland for a super fun trunk-or-treat every year.  Here we are, without our grouchy daddy, me as a lady from the Steam punk era, Elijah: Skeleton (same as last year,) Lucas: Police man (same as last year), Mia: Snow White and Sophie Bear: Ladybird Beetle, otherwise known as Ladybug :)

Carving pumpkins...we didn't get a good picture this year of our pumpkins, but they all turned out really cute and we had a lot of fun together as a family carving and listening to Halloween music.

So, we get to school and Sophie and Amanda's baby, Lena both had the same costume...here is our interpretation of the facial expressions of the babies:

Lena: "Sophie, you totally stole my costume idea!"

Sophie: "No, Lena, YOU stole MY idea!"

Zee spread!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Pumpkin Farm

This year we took the kids to one of my favorite Pumpkin Farms near Bay City in Indiantown, Johnson's Pumpkin farm.  It is free and they have tons of animals and little scenes set up to take pictures with.  They also do "Punkin Chunkin".  We watched them chuck a pumpkin with a huge catapult.  It was AWESOME!  The kids ran over when they finished tossing the 65 lb. pumpkin to see the crater it left in the field.

This is an Alpaca...and no, she is not dead.  They seriously act just like dogs.  It is weird.

Picking out our pumpkins.

I LOVE FALL!!

Halloween Party

We have some friends from Midland who throw a super fun adult Halloween Party.  They are really creative and give out the wildest invitations!  Next year I'll have to remember to take a picture of the invitation.  They are really fun friends.  So, we dressed up this year as Sherlock Holmes and Ilene Adler from the new Sherlock Holmes movies...or just people from the Steam punk era.  It was AWESOME!  I did my hair from the era and I am SO proud of myself!!

They do the craziest games!

Here's a picture of the back of my hair...this doesn't do it justice at ALL.

These friends of ours are hilarious!

...until next year!
