Of the Age of Accountability...

So...Luc is 8!!  His baptism day was sweet.  Very, very sweet.  We were prepared, on time, and the spirit was STRONG!

Luc felt confident.  He knew exactly what he was choosing to do this day and was living up to it!
He was sober-minded and ready.

Ready to GO!

Cute boy.

The meeting was sweet and simple.  Brother Sponseller from the Bishopric conducted.  Cousin Dylan gave the opening prayer and we sang Baptism.  Brother Dunford gave the talk on Baptism and then Mia sang When I Am Baptized accompanied by Suzanne Leonhardt.  The Baptism was performed by Eric and it was perfect.  We watched a couple videos while they changed:

SANCTIFY YOURSELVES

and

I AM A CHILD OF GOD

When they were finished we heard a talk on Confirmation by Grandma Darlene, Lucas was confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and given the Gift of the Holy Ghost as a constant companion and the meeting closed by singing I'm Trying to Be Like Jesus with the closing prayer given by his big brother, Elijah.
Sweet, simple meeting.
Very memorable and it was filled with the spirit.

These crazy kids LOVE this tree out in front of the church for climbing!

Grandma Darlene and Grandpa Carlos give the kids their first set of scriptures as a baptism gift and here is Luc opening his.  He has REALLY been looking forward to this gift!

We had tons of goodies for refreshments...thanks to all our friends and family for their help!

We were so happy to have some of my side come over as well!  Uncle Aaron and Aunt Sonya came for the weekend and it was SO fun to have them!

...and Grandma Alisa!  We love you all!

We are so pleased with your decision Lucas and we LOVE you!!!  Happy Baptism!
